Euro 2020 star Andriy Yarmolenko is unhappy with his peripheral role at West Ham United and may seek an exit from the Premier League outfit this summer, as reported by The Athletic.
After starring for Ukraine at the Euro 2020 – scoring one of the goals of the tournament against the Netherlands – it seems the footballing bug has chomped down hard on the veteran winger.
And, with the new Premier League season just weeks away, the prospect of spending the next nine months glued to the London Stadium bench understandably holds little appeal for a man who started just one game in 2020/21.

The Athletic reports the former Borussia Dortmund man, whose time in England has been littered with injuries, is tired of living his life as an afterthought, a big-name back-up in David Moyes’ squad.
Should an offer arrive between now and the end of August, expect Yarmolenko to seriously consider it.
Where that offer is going to come from, however, remains to be seen.

Where would Yarmolenko go if there’s a West Ham exit?
Yarmolenko’s agent has already rubbished speculation suggesting his client could be on his way to Russia, while The Athletic plays down links with Fenerbahce, insisting no offer has been forthcoming from the Turkish side.
However, after letting another high-earning misfit in the shape of Felipe Anderson leave for a staggering £32 million loss earlier this week, it can’t be discounted that Yarmolenko too will depart for a darn sight less than the £17 million West Ham paid for him in 2018.
Haber365 believes the Hammers may be tempted to rip up the final 12 months of his contract to get Yarmolenko’s £75,000-a-week pay packet off their wage bill.
