Orono, Maine — The University of Maine women’s basketball program has announced its 2021-22 non-conference schedule. The non-conference slate, which begins on Nov. 9 at Nebraska, includes 11 games with six home dates, including a trip to the Augusta Civic Center.
Maine opens the 2021-22 campaign with a Tuesday evening clash at Nebraska on Nov. 9 in what will mark Maine’s second meeting with the Huskers, and the first since 1987.
The Black Bears host Providence in the home opener at the Cross Insurance Center on Saturday, Nov. 13 and remain home for a showdown with Delaware on Monday, Nov. 15.
A four-game road trip follows, starting with a showdown at Yale on Friday, Nov. 19. The Black Bears will travel to take on Boston University on Sunday, Nov. 21 before meeting Army on Friday, Nov. 26. The road swing wraps up when the Black Bears meet Princeton on Sunday, Nov. 28.
Maine will close out the non-conference slate with a four games in its home state, starting with a contest at the Cross Insurance Center against Drexel on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Black Bears will then host Rhode Island at the Augusta Civic Center on Sunday, Dec. 12, before returning back to Bangor for a meeting with Dartmouth on Sunday, Dec. 19. The non-conference schedule concludes with a home contest against Northeastern on Wednesday, Dec. 22.
